On Tuesday 24 September, the ONEIRI collective inaugurated its first workshop, marking a significant step in its commitment to female entrepreneurship. THE MILA association, thanks to Lucie Sabatier founder by OXI, organised a three-hour session on the theme: “How to manage your time and better organise your professional and personal life as an entrepreneur."
Intended exclusively for women and gender minorities as part of the ”Entrepreneurship Crescendo" programme. this meeting was the occasion for a first collaboration between Sonia Musnier - transformation consultant and communication expert - and Laurence Nguyen, founder of Oneiri and executive coach.
“I was lucky enough to meet Laurence when I was incubated by the programme SOURCE by Créatis in 2021. As a young entrepreneur, Laurence was able to give me the keys to launch my business in the best possible way and to see it a little more clearly. As it turns out that I was pregnant at the time, so the need to juggle personal and professional life was at the heart of this follow-up, and it seemed natural to me to ask her to address this issue. This workshop was essential for all of us and allowed us to unblock many situations and problems.
Thank you Laurence and sonia for this beautiful moment of collective intelligence!! “, Lucie comments.
Time management is a universal issue, but it takes on an even more complex dimension for parents, and especially for entrepreneurs, who often feel isolated. Poor organisation can have significant impact, especially on physical and mental health, with direct implications for sleep and lifestyle. Faced with a relentless workload, many feel overwhelmed by personal commitments, thus blurring the line between work and home. There is no “magic bullet” for achieving a perfect balance between the two: it requires an awareness of the challenges, which are generally reduced to secondary logistical tasks. The situation is more complicated for women, especially mothers, who often have to bear a double burden: that linked to their career and that of managing the household (planning, activities, homework, 'Back office' of the domestic work). Gender equality remains an important issues. According to a study by the World Bank, only 14 countries in the world guarantee full-legal coverage of equal rights between men and women in 2023. This figure shows how far we still have to go to achieve true equality.
Entrepreneurship offers freedom but it can be double-edged sword. Mothers Entrepreneurs are often forced to reduce the time they devoted to their professional activities to manage daily household tasks. They tend to receive less support than their male counterparts. It is in this context that Emilie Friedli launched in 2024, the first season of Mères in France, a programme designed to support women entrepreneurs.
The key lies in personalised support (from 3 sessions of at least 1 hour to an average of 6 ) via individual coaching for women entrepreneurs who want to make a change adapted to their personality and their constraints. This allows them not only to free up time for their personal needs, but also to invest the time needed to develop their business. A discipline rooted in simple “routine” but non-negotiable actions is the essential basis of this approach.
